Salient has a new look for 2010, gone is the lavender and purple layout in the previous design, for a more refines look. The goals for the new site are to:
1. Showcase not just completed projects but also ones in progress when possible.
2. Feature articles about web design, mobile and online marketing.
3. Have a solid design foundation to facilitate the addition of new pages.

At long last version 1.5 of the Salient Drift site is up. There is now a redesigned homepage that sheds some light on what we do, mention a few of our clients and features recent projects. Coming soon is a new portfolio section and a detailed breakdown of our services.

Getting iPhone Contacts Photos from Facebook

I wish I had the time to add a photo for all of my Outlook contacts, photos come in pretty handy since I don’t always remember a name but I can recollect faces really well. I came across an iPhone app called Vringo (appstore link) that will match your contacts on your phone to your Facebook account. Vringo Worked well for me and its free. Over the years doing in doing project management I’ve used many different applications but the most indispensable has been Basecamp by 37 Signals. Due to my workflow I’m often not in front of a computer would love to access my projects from my iPhone but until recently it was not something I was happy about. There are several applications out there such as Outpost, Groundwork and my favorite Encamp. (more…)
